Food Made Good Awards

Annual celebration of everything that is good about the food-service industry and the people in it. Hosted by the Sustainable Restaurant Association

The Food Made Good Awards recognise; restaurants, cafés, pubs, bars, contract caterers, universities and hotels whose extraordinary accomplishments in the last year have driven progression in the industry and demonstrated that all food can be made delicious, ethical and sustainable.

As we expected, the 2016 winners were just as diverse as in previous years, representing a smorgasbord of talent from across the hospitality industry. Winners include: Poco, Daylesford, River Cottage, Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, Geronimo Inns, The Savoy, Wahaca and Feng Sushi. Now in their fifth year, the 2016 awards were by far the biggest and best yet. Many of the UK’s top chefs, restaurateurs, suppliers and journalists came together to honour those that have excelled as they received their awards from SRA President Raymond Blanc OBE.

Nominees for the Food Made Good Awards are all audited by the SRA’s Food Made Good sustainability programme in the last 12 months and those with the highest scores in respective areas are honoured with an award.

Exceptions to this rule include: The People’s Favourite, nominated and voted for by you, the Great British dining public, the Best Food Waste Strategy Award, Sustainable Innovation Award and new for 2016, the Food Made Good Supplier of the Year Award.
