Price isn’t an issue, neither is size, location or cuisine.
Sustainable restaurants share one common goal, serving good food that’s lovingly, ethically and sustainably produced, benefiting as many people as possible along the way.
These are the restaurants that realise there’s a lot more that goes into making a great meal than just a handful of ingredients.Whether they donate excess food to charity, buy all of their ingredients from local suppliers, or do something out of the ordinary simply for the love of good food, they deserve to be celebrated.
Nominations have now closed for the People’s Favourite Award.
The shortlist will be published in The Independent on Sunday on 21st February 2016, so pop back then and vote for your favourite restaurant that leaves you with a happy heart and a good taste in the mouth. The award will be presented by SRA President Raymond Blanc at the Food Made Good Awards on 22nd March.
You could win dinner, bed and breakfast at one of eight fabulous Red Carnation hotels – a collection of family-run, award-winning boutique hotels. The winner, chosen at random from all those who nominate a restaurant for the People’s Favourite award, can select which of the group’s luxury hotels, with a focus on the environment and supporting the local community, in which they would like to stay and dine – whether in the heart of London or the peaceful surroundings of Dorset.
Red Carnation was the winner the Eco Hotel Group of the Year Award at the AA Hospitality Awards 2014.
The full list of hotels from which the winner can choose from can be found in the Ts & Cs.
