No shows are a disaster for profit and for the planet with the prep waste which is created by missed reservations – an issue Oxo tackled head on during lockdown
HOW WAS IT DONE?
- Partnered with Too Good to Go who enable restaurants to offer surplus meals to new customers
- This has allowed us to minimise food waste created from missed bookings and donate proceeds to our partner charity Streetsmart
WHAT WAS THE IMPACT?
- Kept food waste to a minimum
- Reached new customer base with shared values
- Supported StreetSmart to fund shelter, jobs and meals to the homeless
