Get ready to join the conversation in the Food Made Good community

Next Wednesday 1 February the new Food Made Good online community goes live. Our aim is to make this the go to place for anyone who shares our goal of making sustainability a part of the DNA of every restaurant and foodservice business.

We need to work together if we’re going to create the amount of change we need in our food system. Think of the community as a hub that’s open 24/7 where you can ask, learn, share and connect.

For all those SRA Members who’d like to feel more closely linked with their fellow Members, here’s your chance. We’ve worked with some top techies to make this online portal as interactive and intuitive as possible – so that it’s easy to use and most importantly useful.

You’ll be able to ask questions of our expert team with a live chat function and talk to fellow Members. In fact, as momentum builds, the community grows and the volume from all the online chatter grows, there’ll be opportunities to set up groups where you’ll be able to link more closely with businesses like yours or with a specific shared interest or challenge.

You can sign on any time to join discussions, read first person case studies and blogs from a huge range of informed stakeholders, access invaluable resources and find out about upcoming events. Importantly, this will also be where you go to complete your rating from now on.

Like any new community, real or virtual, its success depends on the commitment of its members. Details of how to activate your account will be coming your way next week. And we’d urge you to head log on as soon as possible, have a look around AND start sharing – your stories, tips, advice and information, as well as videos and stories. We’ll be here to help kick start things and to guide and inspire you, but once you’ve dipped your toe in the water we reckon you’ll be up for full immersion.

Our Support Global Farmers campaign which runs throughout February, and will be live here from Wednesday,  will be your first chance to get involved. We’re on a mission to make Good Coffee the only coffee served in the UK. With countless certifications, direct trade options and CSR initiatives, GOOD COFFEE has many different recipes. By getting the conversation started we are hoping to help EVERYONE in the food service industry to find their own. Your first task is to share your commitment to serve GOOD COFFEE.

Because we want to achieve the greatest possible change, we’re inviting non-members to come and join the conversation too. In exchange for pledging to support the campaign they can be part of the community for 30 days at the end of which we’ll ask them to support the next campaign – Value Natural Resources – or join the SRA.

Look out for those activation details and put a date in your diary for next Wednesday 1 February to join the Food Made Good community.
