DESCRIPTION
LSE is continually improving its environmental sustainability by working with staff and students across the School. Dame Minouche Shafik, Director of LSE, writes in our latest Environmental Sustainability Report ‘The world faces unprecedented challenges to sustainable development, including climate change, inequality and resource use. As Director of LSE, I’m proud that the School works extensively to address these issues through our research, education, public engagement and our own campus operations – in keeping with our mission to help “the betterment of Society” Our focus in 2018 is to investigate how to reduce our use of single use plastics and encourage the use of reusable alternatives in our restaurants, cafes and catered halls.
