Sustainable Wine Solutions is a supplier of quality wines in the most sustainable formats from U.K. distributor Borough Wines.
Our Zero Waste wine list champions sustainably minded producers, with many natural, organic and biodynamic listings. Our formats include: wine-on-tap keg systems using reusable Ecofass kegs and 100% reusable stainless steel kegs; a 10L VinoTap™ to deliver the wine-on-tap experience in a more flexible format and our Bottle Return Scheme, unique in the U.K. wine trade. Convenience, quality and sustainability go hand in hand.
We have been championing the cause of refill and reuse since day 1, with the U.K.’s first wine-on-tap concept at Borough Market back in 2002. Since then we’ve developed a whole range of Wine-on-Tap systems that use REUSABLE kegs only: we are the only wine company in the U.K. to use reusable kegs.
We launched our Bottle Return Scheme for on and off trade customers in late 2020, giving the traditional cork sealed bottle a sustainable twist: each one can be returned to us, sterilised and reused at least 30 times, reducing the carbon footprint of each bottle by up to 95%.
We believe recycling is great, but it should be the last resort, not the go to option. Reduce, reuse and ONLY THEN recycle.
