ALL you need for the 2019 Food Made Good awards ceremony!

Our awards are so close I can almost smell them! The office is abuzz today with the final touches and checks. We’ve had a few questions this year so here are some helpful answers.

Q: What’s the dress code?

A: We’re calling it ‘dressy casual’. Not something you’d wear to the beach or on your sofa, but no need to wear a tie, jacket or heels if you don’t want to.

Q: Where is it?

A: It’s at the Troxy which is a short walk from Limehouse DLR and C2C station and served by bus routes 15, 115, 135, N15 and N550. There is no car park at Troxy. It’s a beautiful art deco venue, which has been used as many things over the years, from a theatre to a bingo hall. It’s completely indoors, so no need to bring lots of layers.

Q: How do I find the venue?

A: It’s just down the road from Limehouse DLR so should be easy to find, but do use google maps if you get a little lost.

Q: Will there be a cloakroom?

A: Yes – feel free to bring your big winter coats and work bags free of charge.

Q: What time should I get there?

A: This year it’s an evening do. Please start to arrive at 6pm. There will be SRA staff on the door to welcome you, get you checked in and give you some top tips about food and drink. I’ll be there so do say hi if you see me ? The ceremony starts at 7:30pm so please do leave yourself some time to get some food and drinks and mingle before this.

Q: How much food will I get? Should I bring cash for booze?

A: You’re going to be well fed and watered – this is a celebration of food and hospitality! You’ll be getting 4 food tokens each, which can be found in your programme (so hold onto it!). This will get you a dish at each of our 4 KERB food stalls, as well as some passed canapés, and chocolate. Drinks wise, there’ll be as much Freedom beer and wine from The Uncommon as you wish, as well as two tokens for the Troxy bar. You can buy further drinks if you wish, but don’t worry, we won’t run dry of free booze!

Q: When’s curfew?

A: The event will end at 11pm. No official after party this year, but feel free to roll onto one of the local drinking holes with your team. It is a little bit slim-pickings immediately round the venue, but jump on a bus and in 10 minutes you’re in Spitalfields and the world is your oyster.

Q: How can I find out how many tickets I have and who’s name is on them?

A: The best way to find out is to check your emails from eventbrite. If this doesn’t get you the answers you want you can call the SRA office on: 0203 903 2777.
