At Gaucho, we are committed to having a positive impact on people, the planet, and community, aiming to be a net zero carbon business by 2030. People: We operate with six core values in mind, offering our staff clear career progression and operating a recruitment strategy that seeks to source 10% of our workforce from those who would otherwise be considered disadvantaged in the employment market. Planet: Aware of the high environmental impact of the production of beef, we have measured the carbon footprint across the life cycle of our beef to act on the emissions. This project has enabled us to begin the process of offsetting emissions and developing long-term strategies to reduce emissions at source. Community: We are proud to support a number of charity partners, raising vital funds and giving back to the communities we are based in, ensuring staff are involved in this support. The road to net zero is a challenge, and one we can only achieve through collaboration across the industry. This is why we launched the Sustainable Steak Movement in 2021, to bring together UK restaurants, suppliers and industry bodies to help accelerate the conversations and actions towards more sustainable beef production.
